On July 28 I took a look at both Goulburn Sand and Soil and Endeavor.
(Goulburn Sand and Soil is run by the Divall family)
At GSS I had a short chat with Peter Walker. He couldn't talk longer because he was on the way to a funeral for a family member, but he seemed willing to talk more later.
GSS seemed pretty well run and organized, but later I rode my bike out to Endeavor for the first time. I was a bit shocked by what I saw and heard.
It made me more concerned about who will actually be working in and managing the proposed new facility, whether or not it ends up being built by the river, but especially if it does.
I am now more concerned about how much the hourly workers will really care about the neighbors, the litter and the environment.
And I am wondering who will do the promised daily inspections.
I also spoke to a resident who lives across from Endeavor. She told me the noise is a problem at times as well as the litter. And she said there are times in the summer when the unsorted trash piles up above the fenceline for months. At this time there is sometimes a smell. But one day it is all gone, apparently moved to another location before it is sorted, so I would like to learn more about that.
The more I investigate things the more I see a need for additional research and information and the more concerned I am with the decision making process.

Steve, The Development application, and supporting documentation, can be found on the council website, www.goulburn.nsw.gov.au, and searching the site for "Denrith". It will give links to the information on which Council is making decisions
