The proposal to put a waste transfer/recycling center on the north side of the Mulwaree river has led me to consider what other possibilities might exist for that space.
One idea I like a lot is to create something like a very large green space on both sides of the river. Something a bit similar to the botanical gardens in Sydney by the harbor.
There could be connecting bike/foot paths from the golf course and wetlands, along the river, across it with a foot bridge and back all the way up to the Memorial Tower.
The paths could also be extended to the junction of the Mulwaree river and the Wollondilly, making a very nice loop.
Both residents and visitors could enjoy such a park and it would make a very nice entry to Goulburn from the north side.
